Award season is among us friends! The stylists are clamoring for the hottest designer look, the celebs are hitting the gifting suites, the after-parties are booked and the bars are stocked. Red Carpet really is the backbone of L.A. fashion -no other city does it like L.A.- and I've come to embrace and love that about living here.

I recently stopped by the Aruna Seth Golden Globes Style Suite at the Andaz West Hollywood to check out the amazing special occasion shoes and bags from the London-based designer. Wondering where you've seen her designs before? Um, how about Pippa Middleton (you know, Duchess Kate's little sis) paired Aruna's Lynn shoe and clutch with an Alice Temperley dress for the royal wedding reception!

Describing that moment as "an amazing feeling," Aruna then knew that she was ready to conquer Hollywood and is planning to take over the red carpet circuit. Her secret weapon? The elegant designs have unique half-moon padding in the sole of the shoe that gives extra comfort all night long.

The Farfalla Butterfly design

I loved the delicate, feminine designs of the shoes - a slim heel, soft pastel colors, some adorned with Swarovski crystals and others accented with the designers signature butterfly. I had to know the inspiration behind the deigns. "I've loved butterflies since childhood, they're such feminine creatures and it just felt natural to incorporate them," says Aruna.

 
There are some also some amazing contemporary designs, too! Leopard print pumps, studded wedges, and a gorgeous pair of black satin and Chantilly lace ballet flats.

I couldn't help but try on the Carly wedges!
