Wow! The past week has been totally crazy -exhausting, frustrating, exciting, busy, demanding and many other descriptive words, but overall I have to say in most ways being a part of the GRAMMY Style Studio actually quite awesome! From the people I met and the amazing fashion I saw to the celebrity sightings and a total
OMG fanatic moment, I really enjoyed myself and the experience.
Hosted on the 51st floor of then National Bank Building in Downtown LA, the venue was gorgeous with striking views every-which-way. Tons of talented designers showcased their best work -some that I'm quite familiar with like
Chelsea Rebelle, Gypsy 05 and
LisaMichelle Collection to others that I didnt know at all like M. Cohen,
Alana Hale,
Charlie Laspon,
Kanvis and
Brian Lichteneurg. In addition to all the fab fashion, there was also beauty and skincare from
POP Beauty,
Epicuren,
Lily B and
FakeBake. A spectacular event!

Fascinating designs from Lloyd Klein... I would love to see Rihanna in this! |

So many goodies from POP Beauty! |

There were some very cool celeb/VIP sightings like Amber Rose (love her!), Hoobastank, Alex da Kid (who produced and is nominated for songs like
Love the Way You Lie and
Airplanes), Anthony Hamilton, and Kelly Price. It was also interesting to meet people who you dont know by face but are nominated for tons of awards for having worked on some of 2010's biggest songs and albums.

None of it would have been possible without our sponsors like
Neuro Water,
H Studio (who provided our most fashionable furnishings),
Bright Blue Events (who brought in our elegant floral decor) and
STK (yummy nibbles) to name a few.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Style Studio was called off a day early which left us all disappointed but it was great while it lasted. Again I find myself very thankful for all the opportunities that Miss Kelsi Smith brings my way.
It was Kelsi who involved me in working on the GRAMMY Style Studio event and blog and it was also Kelsi who put me in contact with the super cool Lisa Roy of the GRAMMY's, who invited me out to the Staples Center for a backstage tour of the GRAMMY rehearsals!!! This is the
OMG moment I mentioned earlier -BF and I got to watch Mick Jagger rehearsing for the big show, see the dressing rooms, the engineering room and sound equipment, and the general hustle and bustle of preparation for the show.
And then... as we were under the performance stage watching Rihanna and Eminem rehearse, Rihanna unexpectedly pops down under the stage as her part of the set ends and sits right next to us. I was so totally star struck -ya'll know I love that girl! My total blog muse! But oh, it gets better. Once the set ended Eminem came down too. It was AMAZING to see the two interacting together -joking around and giving feedback on the performance. Of course, I was totally speechless and did my best to not be seen or heard out of fear that I might be noticed and the moment would be brought to an end. It was a closed set and there were no cameras allowed so you'll have to take my word that these events actually occurred.
As you you can tell, the last few days have been pretty dope! Memorable, fascinating and many other descriptive words. I'm living tweeting the show tonight (from my couch), so don't forget to keep up with me on
twitter!
Dont forget to check out some of my posts from the
